I'm not a vampire but I feel like one
Sometimes I sleep all day because I hate the sun
So, they really did keep poor animals locked away in this basement? Jack almost felt sorry for the beast’s that were locked away in this cold, dark basement and there only company was some deranged doctor who took them to some lab for painful experiments and injections.
“Well, I know how you feeling, your not the only one who has to deal with them.” He said and looked at a white rabbit who was shaking violently and was balled up in the corner, staring at him with frightened eyes.
If there was one thing that Jack loved doing and that was to make the staff's job's here a living hell. He did alot of things from hurting them, stealing things, pulling pranks on them and just doing anything that he knew would piss them off. He wasn't stupid about it though, he played it smart and didn't act stupid or childish while he did it. Taking out his secret weapon, he started to fiddle with the locks to the cages, opening them and grabbed the animals, dropping them to the floor and watched as they started to explore their unfamiliar but familiar surroundings.
He took in deep sigh and leaned against the wall, looking at each individual cage that had some animal in it. This was just cruel, but he had no room to talk. He had killed animals before, just because it was fun to do and he was no different from those doctors and nurses that use this animals for some educational or maybe they get a sick thrill to watch some animals squirm and cry out in pain.
Silence was the only thing that him and the animals shared. They didn’t even make a sound, only staring at him before hopping or scurrying away as if waiting for him to grab them by the scruff of their fur and carry them to a room filled with masked strangers and equipment. He just inhaled deeply, taking a very deep drag of his smoke and exhaled through his nose, ignoring the animals stares and scratched his temple absentmindedly.
He had come across this place a few times and came to realized that it was the perfect place for a smoke and some quite. The animals didn’t bother you, they didn’t even make a sound if you come near their cage or descended into the basement. Then, light was seen at the top of the stairs and Jack immediately stood up and heard footsteps on the stairs, making the old boards creak. “Shit.” He muttered and just stayed still, keeping the cancer stick between his lips and kept his dark eyes on the last step to see who had come down here with him. He expected to see a doctor or a nurse, maybe even a guard because he didn’t really know alot of patients that would come down here like he would.
