Haydn twisted the creaky knob to the gym door hard, his muscles tense from the strain he had put in them from his rigorous exercise. Sweat was dripping from his body. He quietly made his way to his assigned room at the end of the hall, he was one of the few staff members living on site. The shower bode his sore body well as the hot water rained down on him. His crystal blue eyes stared down blankly at his feet as he leaned against the cool tile wall of the shower. His eyes shut as he heard Felix take down a screaming patient in the hallway. His throat tightened, waiting for the thud the body would make when Felix choked him out. But I never came. In its place was the sound of chains, and of whimpering. His heart beat faster as he stepped out of the shower, not bothering to clothe himself, as there was a young girl Waiting on his bed. Her hair was a chocolate brown and her skin had been scrubbed raw. Her wrists were red from struggling against the handcuffs that kept her on the bed. A grin pulled his lips into a curl. "This, is what you get girl." He got on his knees on the bed over her, holding he face in one hand and his leather whip in the other. "For trying to escape. Now you will never leave here." Haydn struck her across the face with his hand paving her cheek damp from his dripping body. He edged off the bed as he uncoiled the whip, and kept on grinning. Haydn's eyes opened wide and he found himself lying on the floor, the shower still running. It was just a flashback. He checked his bed, no girl. No fifteen year old Jew to be found. Once he collected himself and had his uniform in order it was time to make rounds. The halls were quiet, and just as bright as ever. Just like he hated them.

Milo ran down the hall, her cotton tshirt ripped and her hair a mess. By the time she got close to her room, she'd slowed, hot angry tears running down her face. "FUCK YOU!" She screamed to no one. Once again, the dirty doctor had touched her. Luckily, she didn't swallow the sedative he'd given her, or else she may have been in a lot more trouble. Luckily, she waited for the right moment to strike, and made a run for it.
She rounded the corner, coming to her hall, and she collapsed before she could get to her room. She laid in the floor, sobbing in fury and embarrassment. Little tufts of fire crawled across her skin as the tears she cried simply evaporated as they touched her porcelain face. Her fist came down hard, pounding the floor and leaving a black smudge in its place. "You mother fucker..." She whimpered, her back arching into her sobs.
Slowly, Milo regained her composure enough to crawl to her door and sit against it, her fists and jaws clenched tight. The sad thing was, it wasn't the first time it had happened. He'd tried things before, but she'd been to sedated to feel or remember most of it. Now that she was positive it wasn't a dream, Milo was disgusted, and angry. The last time a man tried to take advantage of her, she ended up in the Asylum. Never again.

The screaming caught his attention and ended his motion mid stride. Haydn stood perfectly still until the sound ceased and he was positive of where it came from. He pushed open the double doors that led into the next ward and stopped at the crossing of halls, checking right then left. And he had located the source of the screams. This one he had only seen behind glass and was unsure. He jogged toward the small lump on the floor warily, grabbing the chart from the door before kneeling in front of her. The picture taped inside the chart was similar enough that this could very well be a girl called Milo. "Milo? What's going on? I need you to tell me so I can get a doctor. I'm Haydn, the night guard. You're safe with me." Knowing the power of some of the patients he didn't want to touch her just yet. He thumbed through her chart for useful information, there wasn't much. His PTSD acting up had thrown him off, made him feel like he owed someone something. But he couldn't put his finger on it.

Milo didn't bother to look up as the man ran towards her. She could see from the corner of her eye that it was one of the guards. "Don't touch me," She growled, looking up to glare at him. Flames flickered in the back of her eyes. "You tell that doctor to leave me the fuck alone." Her words were spoken through her teeth, acid in her tone.
The flames ceased to roll across her skin, but her body still ached with heat. As she peered up at the man, she saw something different. She was used to seeing only fear and disgust in the eyes of the men who patrolled the halls. Some even looked with lustful curiosity. "You. What is your name? I need you to speak to me." Milo needed something to cool her down before she got herself put in solitary.
She kept an ear listening down the hall, waiting for orderlies to come pick her up for attacking the doctor. Or maybe he didn't tell anyone, for fear of being found out. Either way, she'd rather not be sat in front of a white coat. The guard was the only thing keeping her from burning the building down.
