Ash couldn’t help but chuckle to himself at Jacks words, he really planned to escape? In his mind, he wished him luck with that as he was pretty sure this place wasn’t as nice as some of the staff made it out to be. He w glad that so far he’d managed to keep his stories under wraps or he’d probably be thrown in here too. He stopped thinking and started paying more attention again when Jack mentioned people with powers. A smirk crossed his face as he tried to cover a giggle, something he wasn’t going to let Jack be the first one to make him do no matter how silly he sounded.
“Ok Jack. I think that you’re more than just a little messed up if you’re going to believe you have powers now.” He asked, highly amused but hiding it behind his cold eyes as he watched for any sign that Jack was making this up. He couldn’t see the usual smirk that Jack always showed after messing about. He actually really believed it then. Ash let out a long exhale of smoke before turning away again and glancing at his watch. He still had a while yet but this guy was clearly delusional and slightly creepy. He stooped down to grab his bag and jacket of the floor, intending to just walk out but then thought about it. This guy had introduced himself which was polite so he supposed he’d have to do the same rather than just walking out without an explanation.
Adjusting the strap over his shoulder, he shuffled in his chair to face jack and got ready to walk away.
“You are funny Jack… but absolutely nuts. It’s been a pleasure to meet you and I will most definitely see you around. I’m already running late.” It was all true apart from the late part, that was a blatant lie and he didn’t try to hide it. He didn’t see the point in hiding it which to some may be considered rude but he believed if you were going to offend someone about something than why try hiding it? Which at this moment in time seemed was all this guy was doing now. He made a mental note in his head to make sure this was the first guy he found out the truth about.
